At Rising Eyes, we have established processes for flight, video editing, and project delivery.  These processes help ensure you get great service and an excellent final product.

Phase 1: Planning

  • A member of the Rising Eyes team will call you to discuss your goals for the shoot. It’s important for us to understand how the media will be used. That will help us come up with a shot list to ensure we get all of the angles and approaches to tell the story. Types of things we may want to know:
    • Size of the property
    • Unique features of the property or event
    • Project specifications like scheduling and budget
  • After we understand your goals and the scope of the project we’ll provide you with a written estimate – usually within 24 hours of phone conversation.
  • Once you confirm you’re moving forward, we use google maps to review the site/property. This allows us to get a sense for landscaping obstacles and the orientation of the structures. This serves as the basis for our flight plan. If the structure is new, we may need to do a site visit as part of the planning process.

Phase 2: The Shoot

  • We will arrive on site at least 20 minutes prior to shooting to allow enough time for equipment set up and site review.
    • We’ll show up with a timeline of the shoot, your priorities, and the contract.
    • Perform a walk through of the property to make sure the site is as expected. We’ll modify the flight plan based on the live visual inspection.
    • We’ll check in with you either in person (if you’re on site) or on the phone to get any last-minute instructions. We’ll review the flight plan with you at this point as well, if desired. We’ll modify the flight plan with the appropriate changes, if needed.
  • We’ll operate the UAV within line of site to capture needed assets.

Phase 3: After the Shoot

  • If you’re on site, we’ll copy the videos/photos to a computer for your review.
  • We’ll verify the shots include all items on the agreed upon shot list.

SAFETY GUIDELINES

  • Pilots must at all times have their flight safety checklists present for all official flying. The flight checklists include preflight, flight, and post flight information.
  • Flying above 400 feet is prohibited at all times. UAV Aerial Photography has its uses primarily as low-range flight. If you must fly above 400 feet, use full sized aircraft to accomplish the altitude.
  • UAV must be flown within the line of sight of the operator
